When we created CosyCamp in 2013, we were looking for authenticity, exchange, and conviviality. Choosing a holiday at CosyCamp means choosing a camping in Auvergne and wanting to share a philosophy. With only 90 pitches, CosyCamp is primarily a human-sized, independent place where nothing is forbidden, because we trust our guests.
We are committed to a global ecological approach. Simple pleasures, return to roots, we offer you an original nature camping experience without cars, in a landscape of

But what is Glamping? It is the new trend in outdoor tourism, but it is much more than that; it’s a lifestyle, eco-chic trend. It’s a clever mix of luxury and nature, comfort and ecology, respect for nature. It’s also the contraction of GLAMOUR and CAMPING, it’s glamping!
Simple pleasures, a return to the roots, CosyCamp is an eco-chic campsite. We offer you a glamping experience without compromise in a large botanical garden of 4.5 hectares without cars. Nestled in a green sanctuary on the banks of the Wild Loire, south of Auvergne, at the gates of the Regional Natural Park of the Volcanoes of Auvergne and 1.5 hours from Lyon, there is a sensation of being at the end of the world.
In a landscape of stunning gorges, you will stay comfortably in high-end accommodations, atypical and original. The camping sites are vast, and glamping enthusiasts have plenty of space to create their dream campsite… You enjoy modern, comfortable, and quality facilities that perfectly integrate into the site, like the eco-designed buildings made of wood and volcanic stone.

Our ecological commitment
CosyCamp was fully imagined in 2013 within a ecological approach with a specialized architect, a botanist, and a landscaper. Our ambition: to create a 4-star ecological camping in Auvergne, managed as an alternative project. We alternate interventions by botanists, participatory workshops for the protection of birds and amphibians, the reintroduction of disappeared local varieties, and support for similar local initiatives.
In many ways, CosyCamp is unique in France.
Designed and managed like a large garden operated in a ecological and educational manner, tourists stay in a series of cultivated spaces: permaculture vegetable gardens, aromatic and medicinal gardens, hedgerows, orchards, and red fruits from Velay. More than 3500 plants and shrubs have been planted and naturally the accommodations are also designed with natural materials and without ground footprint.
It is within this avant-garde approach that our small camping in South Auvergne won the National Ecology Environment Trophy awarded by the Quality Label Camping Quality in 2018.

You want to live in harmony with nature and are looking for a 4-star camping site in Auvergne, CosyCamp invites you to rediscover a certain art of camping made of simplicity and comfort. Because here remember: no cars to encroach on your living space!
2/3 of our pitches are dedicated to traditional camping without cars for tents. We also have 9 pitches of 100m² for motorhomes or caravans as well as about ten caravan pitches on 200m² Privilege pitches in the pedestrian area. You set up your caravan with the car and then park the vehicle outside in the parking area.
Isn’t camping a way of vacation that allows you to break away from your daily routine and habits, to discover a new way of living in the Auvergne countryside for a few days?

Every week, Clotilde organizes Yoga sessions on the floor of a Safari Lodge facing the wild Loire. And it’s Régina who daily offers Swedish massages with essential oils and reflexology sessions.
In our gem, to continue to suspend time, take an hour by privatizing the indoor pool with hot tubs and counter-current swimming.

The possibility of swimming and bathing is essential for you to relax and feel on vacation? Are you attracted to wide open spaces and want to rejuvenate close to nature? The campsite in Auvergne with a swimming pool checks all the boxes!
At CosyCamp, the water areas and facilities are of high quality and large dimensions compared to the capacity of our place.
The two outdoor pools at the campsite are heated, and the small indoor pool of 15m² heated to 32° allows you to swim year-round, regardless of the weather (with a supplement in season when the outdoor pool is open, but free out of season).

In front of our Camping, an exceptional natural site in Auvergne for swimming… the wild Loire widens and slows down on pebble beaches, offering a calm and safe body of water for families.
Our natural pool at CosyCamp is the wild Loire. In our preserved and protected Natura 2000 area, the waters are of very good quality. The advantage is that it gently flows from its nearby source to our shores, without great depth: it quickly warms up in the sun on the pebbles, and it is not uncommon for the water to reach 24 or 25° C in the summer season.
At the foot of the basaltic pyton of Artias, just across, the water is deeper and the rocks form natural diving boards for the pleasure of wild swimming, jumping, and diving enthusiasts.

We created CosyCamp to make sense. We created a place that breaks away from the urban hustle and bustle. The atmosphere is warm and rich in sharing.
Since our opening in 2013, we have created outdoor meeting spaces and arranged beautiful rooms to gather families, friends, and events of all kinds.
To gather your tribe, organize a family reunion in Auvergne or bring your friends together, our infrastructure allows you to stay in small intimate accommodations or choose a larger and more friendly rental, and to all get together in a beautiful functional space.

Auvergne, the purity of its springs, the quality of its products, its legendary volcanoes, the quality of the relationship between its inhabitants… is a territory where one revitalizes. It is said that our country regenerates body and spirit.
A raw and intact nature that amazes us with the richness and diversity of its natural environments. Its fauna, flora, rural architecture and historical heritage are remarkably preserved.
Whether you are fans of relaxation or strong sensations, there is something for everyone and all ages. Visit a Medieval village, hike in pursuit of volcanoes, take a gourmet break to savor culinary specialties, natural swimming and shower under a waterfall, we are far from mass tourism here. A favorable environment for rejuvenation, for meaningful vacations.
Our camping is just 1h30 from Lyon, located in the beautiful medieval village of Chamalières-sur-Loire. And yet we are already right in the middle of the Auvergne volcanoes.
A good base camp to explore the streets of Puy en Velay, venture on the paths of Saint James of Compostela, climb Mont Mézenc at an altitude of 1750 m, swim in our lakes and rivers, test our via ferrata, discover the abbey of La Chaise-Dieu, and hike on the many medieval trails that surround us.

Second weekend stay for us at this family-friendly campsite, very peaceful, in the heart of nature, with activities nearby (hiking, free canoes, zipline, free bikes). There’s a pool and a bar available, and pizzas are also offered on-site. The welcome is warm and simple, with a great focus on ecology. The accommodations are lovely. The setting is splendid. We highly recommend it for a family stay, adults, or family gatherings…

We booked a cottage at Cosy Camp for a long weekend, and we discovered an enchanting setting, along the Loire and in absolute calm. The concept of the place is based on ecology, trust, and sharing, which makes it unique.
It’s impossible to get bored at Cosy Camp, with walks along the river, games, activity fields available, a pool, etc… But at the same time, it’s a place that fosters relaxation. The pitches and rentals are spaced out across the camp and along the riverbanks, where you’ll find sun loungers, hammocks, cushions, and chairs.
The cottage is huge, extremely well-equipped, and comfortable. The living area offers, in addition to games and books, a snack bar and a pleasant terrace. During the summer season, there’s also a restaurant. The welcome is very warm—here you feel at home, but on vacation.
We’ll gladly come back.
CosyCamp is a little piece of paradise for those seeking peace and nature. A small family campsite, without large water parks or kids’ clubs.
Here, everyone lives in harmony with nature, and the children are happy to live their lives independently. It’s not for those looking for activities or services like in large campsites.
